The Project Director will lead an integrated Digital Health team in comprehensive planning, execution, and continual monitoring of the high impact projects within a program area. The Project Director ensures implemented solution(s) support the complex redesign of workflows, use cases and requirements which future state operational sustainability. Proven competency in all aspects of technical project management will be critical to lead the Project Managers and project team in delivering projects on time, within approved budgets, while meeting quality requirements. With direction from Project Sponsor (HR or client lead) Project Director will work collaboratively to ensure success of the project. What will you work on: - Aligning to provincial framework and in collaboration with IH change leads, accountable for the development of the IH change management and deployment approach ensuring that change and communication plans encompass all affected IH groups. - Accountable to establish the schedule baseline and high level milestones aligning to the provincial timelines. - Accountable to identify, monitor and mitigate risks within a RAID framework, aligning to the reporting framework defined through provincial governance. - Serve as a strategic driver, providing oversight, and support for project execution to improve Program outcomes. - Integrating diverse interests in the identification of major strategic issues across program initiatives, to proactively make recommendations and plans to course correct where necessary. - Accountable to identify project roles and responsibilities with efficient execution of defined work packages, ensuring transparency into resource management controls. - Leads and directs all activities for project(s) within the assigned program area including; provides direction and staffing functions to resources assigned; guidance and coaching to affected parties directly or indirectly impacted by the project(s). - Develops and fosters collaborative relationships using a customer focus, including with key internal senior leadership staff as well as internal and external project affected parties to manage expectations and requirements related to complex initiatives. - Develops reports, briefing notes and other documentation as required. - Accountable to manage interdependencies and coordination across program project(s) to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between affected parties, and that project health indicators are monitored and evaluated. - Develops and oversees portfolio budgets, monitors expenditures, performs variance analysis and reporting, and implements remedial action. - Monitors and reports out on all financial budgets within the program project(s). - Adhere to the project management methodologies, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of project(s) within the assigned program area. - Works with software vendors and other external service providers to negotiate contract terms and pricing and resolve complex and/or tentative service issues. - Oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of standards for service and performance; evaluates and effects changes as needed to improve services; simplifies work flow; and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. - Accountable for staffing functions including recruitment, hiring, ongoing development, and performance management, including disciplinary action and termination as required. - Performs other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
